Description

The University of Worcester is looking to purchase five Advanced Patient condition simulators.

A mobile patient condition system (plus related software) is required to replace our current system, which is not cost effective, cannot simulate all the requirements needed and is not safe or effective. A simulated monitor system would allow for a number of simulated patient effects, in addition the system will be used in a class environment without supervision required.

The simulated monitoring system would need to meet the following requirements:
o Lightweight (a wide range of users would need to be able to use and carry the equipment)
o Portable (not limited to internal use only)
o A robust unit, suitable for use in real-world situations
o A modular system, whereby parts could be replaced in case of damage
o Battery powered with a battery life
o Rechargeable
