Description

Cleethorpes is seeing significant investment through the implementation of the 'Cleethorpes Masterplan', Coastal Communities Event schedule and the Cleethorpes Regeneration Programme. The results of new private investment can be seen around the town, with new seafront apartments being built, national food outlets arriving and the refurbishment of the award winning Pier. The tender is split into two Lots: Lot 1 - Meridian Showground Lot 2 - Discovery Centre, Sandpit and Paddling Pool Providers can bid for either or both Lots. The successful Provider will deliver an ambition for excellence and a quality events programme that safely achieves successful and varied events, all year round from the Meridian Showground. The successful Provider will take over the full management and day to day operations of the Discovery Centre, Paddling Pool and Sandpit and must meet the costs of delivering associated with this. As this is a Concession Contract the Authority will entrust the successful Provider the right to provide the Service and, rather than pay the Provider, during the concession period the Provider has the benefit of offering the Service for a fee and retaining such fee in order to repay the financing and investments costs, maintain and operate the provision, with an opportunity to make a margin of profit.
