The project comprises the repair and re-painting of the steel elements to the Heapsteads 1 & 2 of Woodhorn Colliery.
The buildings are protected with listed status and the location is recognized as a scheduled monument as it is the most well-preserved example of a late 19th to early 20th century colliery in the Northeast of England.
