Description
Overview
The London Borough of Hillingdon (Hillingdon) is seeking to appoint a Contractor to conduct general repairs, upgrades and replacement of defective accessories and wiring within occupied dwellings, communal areas, garages and outbuildings compliant to Council requirements and British Standards.
The works and services shall be conducted with suitable professionalism and be timely delivered in accordance with agreed response times and working directives.
The successful Contractor will support The Housing Repairs Team in providing the works required to manage, repair and oversee the 10,500 Council-House accommodation units in and around the Borough of Hillingdon.
The Works also include the introduction and implementation of a programme of inspections to ensure the whole of the Housing Stock will be compliant based upon a four-year cyclical testing regime.
There being a significant number of repairs and occasional call-outs, the repairs team shall need to be in multiple places at once to ensure adherence to the new repairs response timescales.
The Council are looking for experienced and qualified contractors to bid for the opportunity to, install and commission works and services in the London Borough of Hillingdon.
Planning and Appointment for Works
The appointed contractor(s) will be expected to use competent staff suitably qualified to ensure fit form and function of any installed and commissioned equipment, compliant to prevailing regulations. The Council shall not be liable for checking the workmanship of the successful Contractor.
The Contract
The contract will be in the form of NHF Form of Contract 2011 Mechanical and Electrical Services (Rev 4:2016) terms and conditions. The Council reserve the right to impose additional terms and conditions.
