Description

Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council require the production of an Appropriate Assessment under the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2017, hereon referred to as the Habitats Regulation Assessment (HRA). The assessment must ascertain whether the policies and proposals contained in the Draft Local Plan will affect the integrity of a European site. This applies both to European sites within the administrative boundaries of the two councils and beyond these boundaries, where it is established that there could be a likely significant effect.
