Description

The University of Sunderland is committed to the continuous development of student experience and education through technology enhanced learning. As such, the University is seeking to procure a lecture capture system for implementation across all four of the University's campuses (Sunderland city campus, Sunderland Sir Tom Cowie campus, London campus and Hong Kong campus).

The University seeks to procure a system that can offer flexible lecturer controlled recording that is capable of capturing screen castings (voice over and presentation slides), multiple hardware inputs including (but not limited to) visualizers, interactive whiteboards and video feeds. The core aim of the system is to offer students another layer to the existing learning experience, to aid their revision and online learning, as well as enable them the option to recap specific parts of the learning content.

The University seeks to procure a managed cloud-based hosting system, which meets retention and data requirements, with the capability to integrate with the VLE platform, Canvas. The system should offer the functionality for lecturers to stop and start the recordings manually, with instant publication of recordings to a central cloud-based location as soon as the recording has finished.

The University aims to input this technology into all applicable teaching rooms across the campuses, currently standing at a total of 213 rooms. For reference, any associated recording hardware will be procured out with of this tender opportunity.

To enable the University to implement this solution in line with agreed timescales, suppliers are asked to note and confirm their availability to deliver to the following key dates:
