Description

Surrey County Council owns the closed landfill site Trumps Farm located in Chertsey. This site has approximately 38.5 acres (15.5 ha) of land that could potentially be suitable for a ground-mounted solar installation. The site still has landfill gas infrastructure, and a solar farm installation would need to respect the regulation clearance distances needed from that gas infrastructure.
SCC is seeking specialised consultancy services to lead this project, this time looking into the wider context of other planned developments in the area and considering an energy plan for this area, potentially also broadening the options to include wind generation into the project.
