Description

NHS Nene CCG and NHS Corby CCG are seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced providers to deliver a Musculoskeletal (MSK) referral management service (RMS) for Northamptonshire up to a 12-month period. Please note this opportunity is offered as a pilot contract to establish and develop the longer term service model and therefore will not exceed 12 months.
The MSK triage RMS will be expected to clinically assess appropriateness of secondary care GP referrals for orthopedics, rheumatology, spinal and pain services and triage the referral to the most appropriate service. This will include advice and guidance to general practice, onward referral to community based MSK services, and secondary care based MSK services when appropriate. The service will be expected to contact patients on the outcome of the triage, including offering choice of secondary care provider.
NHS Nene CCG has 66 practices serving a population of c652, 847. NHS Corby CCG has 5 practices serving a population of c73, 000.
Providers must demonstrate the following requirements;
1. Be able to begin implementation and mobilsation within December 2017
2. Be able to clearly provide demonstrable experience and track record in delivering referral management services for MSK, including processing referrals from primary care, refer to community services and ability to directly book secondary care appointments on behalf of the referrer in a seamless and efficient manner where appropriate
