Description

Overview of Clanfield Parish Council:
Clanfield is the first tier of local government for the villages of Clanfield and Chalton. It is at the northern extremity of the Portsmouth conurbation and on the edge of the South Downs National Park. This tender is being managed by the Council's Property Management Working Group but the decision will be taken by the full Council.
Overview of Services Required:
The Council owns or manages over 23 hectares of land and property at 11 locations within the Parish. This contract will relate to a total land area of just over 22 hectares. At one location, there is a Trustees' management committee but the Parish Council owns the land and is responsible for its grounds maintenance. Accordingly, there will be a single contract for all the work required. The range of the work will include amenity grass cutting and strimming, meadow/wildflower grassland management, cutting and care of football pitches, existing allotments and future allotments (development timeline early 2020), shrub bed maintenance, pruning and weeding, care of newly planted trees and hedges and weed control of car parks and footpaths / cycleways. It is possible that bin emptying could be added to the service from 1st January 2021 and some initial works are required on one site to form a composting facility.
