Description

The current in-house emergency out of hours repairs service function is being reviewed and Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council is seeking to establish whether suitable alternative external provision is available. This exercise is to establish whether there is market interest and to seek suitable bids from interested parties to establish whether externalising the emergency out of hours call out service is an option and the potential benefits available.

Currently Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council is experiencing spend pressures which has prompted this review therefore, if the bids received are not a viable option (either non-compliant, they do not comply with the Councils requirements in full or the cost of externalising this service out ways the cost to perform internally) the Council will not pursue this route.

This exercise has been divided into two lots:

Lot 1 - Out of Hours Call Out Service
Lot 2 - Out of Hours Supervisory Role

Subject to bids being viable and acceptable, Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough Council (NBBC) would look to appoint a single contractor per lot to undertake an out of hour's reactive ad hoc service for the Council's housing portfolio and residents. The Council has the right to not award any framework agreement or lot resulting from this procurement exercise.

Site Addresses

All works and services required will take place in the administrative boundary, as determined from time to time by the Electoral Commission, of Nuneaton and Bedworth.

The Council expect the Contractor(s) to conduct the services provided through this framework to domestic properties, sheltered schemes and any other building managed by Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council's Housing & Communities repairs team.
