The Airwaves Solution is a secure private mobile radio communications network for organisations operating in Public Safety in Great Britain. This solution enables the Council to communicate with partners including Police, Neighbourhood Wardens and access to the secure national radio network.

Currently, there is no alternative method for the Police, Fire, Emergency Services and related staff to communicate securely with each other when in the field.
