Description
The Covid 19 pandemic is placing unforeseen and immediate pressures on the Councils existing resources. The WACS solution is an automated service that can make multiple phone calls to named individuals, confirming their identity and asking questions the answers to which will determine the most appropriate access route for that individual to Council services.
The aim of the Wellbeing Automated Call Service (WACS) is to reduce the requirement for the Welfare Support Team (tier 2) in HCC to make thousands of calls to individuals who have registered on the government website as extremely vulnerable and requiring support. In addition, the WACS project aims to contact those people who have been listed on the NHS Shielding List and whom HCC does not have an email or mobile number for, meaning mass communication is not possible.
