Description

This project is Income Generation for Norwich City Council

NPSN, on behalf of the council manages the maintenance and repair of the social housing property portfolio that comprises of approx. 15,000 homes. In order to maintain the property stock in good condition it is necessary to undertake repairs and maintenance as appropriate.

The council seeks to invest in eco retrofit solutions where appropriate. This work will be carried out in an effort to reduce our tenant's fuel poverty, assist in the reduction of the city's carbon footprint and increase individual property's standard assessment procedure (SAP) and Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) scores.

The council is looking to maximise its income potential by receiving a fixed annual income from the contractor for allowing the contractor to carry out this work.

The council is looking for a supplier to design, install and commission PV to existing pitched roof housing units. A minimum of 1,000 properties have been identified as potential installation sites, with installation numbers projected to be in the region of 5,000 following a desktop survey undertaken by an external source some years ago. The contractor is to note that a list of identified properties will be provided post award; this list will act as a guide only and all properties listed are subject to change based upon survey, design, tenant liaison, the council's authorisation, and legal findings.
