Description

Specification for Authority

The works consist of replacing the existing boiler, flue, pumps, controls and associated
equipment. To enable new boiler plant to be installed, existing equipment shall be stripped
out as shown and described in this document and on the drawings. The existing boiler plant
must remain in operation throughout the works until the final switch over. The main
contractor shall be the mechanical contractor and should allow for all works necessary to
complete the project, including builders work, electrical works, any structural input required,
approvals, issuing of all necessary documentation and notifications.
In addition to the new boiler plant, electric water heaters shall be installed, and the existing
centralised hot water system stripped out/back. All works are described on the drawings and
within the specifications.
