Description
The Council is seeking to tender the Independent Living Community Support service and is seeking innovative models of service delivery which take into account the specifics of the service being sought. The service requires efficient and effective support provision that will enable individuals with severe and enduring mental health needs to receive recovery orientated support that will enable them to maintain their independence within the community.
.The key requirements of the specification include:
• Supporting people towards recovery and independence to enable them to develop the life skills to maintain their independence in the community.
• The ability to deliver recovery orientated support approaches.
• The provision of a Floating Support service that is available Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm and Saturday and Sunday 10am to 6pm
• Effective team leadership and competency in securing clinical confidence in the service.
• The ability to support the delivery of the Council's Mental Health Strategy 2014-2019 and supporting the achievements and embedding of the Mental Health Accommodation Strategy 2011 to 2016.
• Ability to commence the new contract from 16 June 2017
• Ability to deliver the support service from a central location within the borough that is easily accessible to service users
• Ability to deliver a minimum 670 hours of support per week
• Ability to support a minimum of 185 cases at any given time
The anticipated contract start date is: Friday, 16 June 2017
The estimated value of the contract is:
£420,000 to £468,000 per annum. An upper threshold of £468,000 has been placed on this tender.
