Description

To progress Wolverhampton Councils delivery of the Heath Town regeneration proposal the Council wish to appoint a suitably competent and qualified contractor to progress with the Phase II demolition works of the Project.

The Works comprise in summary the following:

1. The removal of asbestos from all buildings within the site;

2. The subsequent demolition of the existing buildings and all associated outbuildings, structures and features including basements, tunnels, foundations, bases, sumps and floor slabs;

3. Reinstatement works; following demolition of the buildings, backfilling of voids and making up levels with approved granular material; also included as part of the reinstatement works is the supply and installation of fencing together with the construction of footpaths, extended car parking areas and landscaping.

The proposed terms and conditions for this project are the JCT Intermediate Building Contract with Contractors Design (ICD), 2011 Edition issued September 2011 incorporating Amendment 1 issued March 2015.

It is assumed that any supplier returning a tender for this requirement will have a copy and is familiar with these terms and conditions and will have previous experience of executing contracts on this basis.

It should be noted it is the Council's intention that this requirement will be awarded to a single supplier who will be responsible for the delivery of the entire works.
