Description
Swindon Borough Council is in the process of preparing a new Local Plan which will supersede the current Swindon Local Plan 2026. As part of this process, the Council is keen to commission suitably qualified consultants to attain new evidence. An update to this work will provide the Council with up-to-date data and a strategy to provide robustness and direction to inform decision-making impacting the provision of sport and leisure facilities and ancillary services within the Borough. This Integrated Sports Assessment will form part of the evidence base for the Councils new Local Plan.
The commission will comprise three main components:
1. Outdoor Sports Strategy Update
2. Indoor Sports Facilities Assessment
3. Connecting Places Spatial Strategy and Action Plan.
The initial contract term will be for 14 months.

To participate, Suppliers will need to Register as a Supplier with ProContract, www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk, then Register an Interest before obtaining access to the tender documents. RFQ/Tender clarifications to be submitted in writing via Messaging in ProContract tender portal, including the project reference and title clearly in the Subject title, by 23rd May 2023, 1200 hrs UK Local time. The Council's responses to these clarification questions will be issued periodically via Messaging in ProContract tender portal.
