Description

Southampton City Council are seeking to procure a specialist provider to facilitate and deliver an Adult Drug and Alcohol Needs Assessment (ADANA) using qualitative and quantitative data to produce an assessment of need related to alcohol and illicit drug use in adults aged 18+ residing within the City of Southampton.
The overall aim of the Adult Drug and Alcohol Needs Assessment (ADANA) will:
• increase knowledge and understanding of local health needs, including needs, which are required but have not been met.
• inform future commissioning of Substance Use Disorder Services to ensure that evidence based, safe and effective interventions are accessible and accessed, to reduce harm and impact on the City of Southampton.
A draft report will be submitted for approval via Southampton City Council, prior to submission of the final version and by no later than 31st December 2024.

additional period of up to three (3) months, for a total duration of eight (8) months, subject to securing additional grant funding. The maximum end date of the contract shall be revised until 31st March 2025, to coincide with external grant funding arrangement and for delivery of services above and beyond the requirements described within the Service Specification but linked to the conclusions and recommendations of the ADANA, and subsequently agreed in writing via Southampton City Council and the Service Provider.

The Council reserves the right to modify the contract, in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, Section 6, Paragraph 72 by increasing the maximum contract value by an additional £20,000 potentially up to maximum contract value of £75,000 for the term of the contract (including optional extension periods) subject to securing additional external funding via the Supplemental Substance Misuse Treatment and Recovery (SSMTR) Grant
