Description

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council wishes to contribute to the improvement of the Eastwood ward by releasing an underused site to the market and introducing additional residential accommodation. The Council wishes to appoint a developer partner to design a housing led scheme which can be taken forward to Panning and delivered on site. It is expected that the developer partner will be responsible for the full end to end development and build. Bidders proposals must show, as a minimum, how the following aims will be delivered: * Contribute a new and creative housing offer for the area; * Assist in the creation of a secure and settled population; * Minimise opportunities for anti-social behaviour; * Create a stronger built frontage onto surrounding roads; * Improve the quality of the street scene and contribute towards uplifting the area; * Make a gateway statement for people approaching and exiting the roundabout; * Complement and respect the boundary of neighbouring properties and ensure existing properties are not overlooked. It is expected that the Development brings a capital receipt for the Council. No subsidy will be provided by the Council is relation to the development of this site.
