Description

Dear colleague,

The XCEPT research programme is seeking applications from researchers examining how the transnational dimensions of conflict interact with issues related to women and girls.

The main output of the research will be a paper for publication in an academic journal or as an XCEPT research report. It will contribute to a wider portfolio of research on how conflicts connect across borders and how policy responses should adapt, as part of the UK aid-funded Cross-Border Conflict Evidence, Policy and Trends (XCEPT) research programme.

This opportunity is open to both individual researchers and research organisations. Interested applicants should propose a research idea, describe their methodology, and discuss how Global South researchers will meaningfully participate in the research, as part of a 1500-word application form. Shortlisted applicants will then be invited to submit a full proposal.

Click on this link to view the full details, including information on how to apply: https://www.xcept-research.org/grants_post/call-for-expressions-of-interest-research-on-women-and-girls-in-cross-border-conflict-contexts/

The budget for this activity is £10,000 - £35,000. The deadline for submissions is 13 September 2023 at 18:00 BST.

We will be holding a virtual Q&A on Wednesday 23 August at 14:00 BST to give potential applicants the chance to ask questions about this opportunity. To join, please register here: https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZUrdemqrjIuGtwtcJuPNEkRi8ED0isLikf1

If you have any clarification questions, please email them to the XCEPT Research Fund team at xcept-fund@chemonics.com by 18:00 BST on 30 August 2023.

Please share this with any researchers or research organisations who you think might be interested in this opportunity.

Best,
XCEPT Research Fund team
