Description

This 10-days programme has been developed to provide participants with an introduction to the range of skills required by employers in the industry.
The programme should provide participants with an understanding of the roles and principles of coding and how to work successfully as part of a team.
A key objective of the programme is the progression of participants into apprenticeships, therefore participants should be advised of career opportunities, signposted to companies recruiting coders
and prepared for applying for employment within the sector. All participants who complete the programme must be guaranteed a job interview.
The programme should be delivered 5 days per week between 9:30 - 4:30. Content should include the list below, which is not exhaustive:
o Understanding core principles of programming
o Understanding how & where coding is used in the world of work
o Fundamental concepts of coding
o Concepts in Python & Java programming
o Opportunity to experience building Real World Programs
o CV and interview preparation
o Certificate on completion

Service Provider must:
o include the price of lunches and travel within the quote;
o deliver from a location that is accessible by public transport, outlining the planned delivery locations and venues to be used during the course;
o adhere to health and safety rules and regulations being fully responsible for all risk assessments including external activities; provide PPE where necessary and report any accidents/incidents in a timely manner;
o report on performance against agreed targets at a timeframe to be agreed and specified in the contract.
