Description

PIN notice for expressions of interest received against MSS/108-Compressed Air Contract (TED85/2020-236759) in July 2020 and forms part of the market assessment, which is NOT part of any competitive procedure.

compressed Air equipment systems installed in Her Majesty's (HM) surface ships and submarine platforms throughout their service life. Within Marine Systems Support (MSS), the Fluid Power and Controls (FPC) has the responsibility for the management of this requirement.

The objective is to deliver a sustainable support solution over 7-year period (5 +2) to replace the current Contract (MSS/030 - Compressed Air) and former contract (MSS/086 - Compressed gas dryers and filters) which is managed by FPC(Fluid Power and Controls) & SDG(Service Delivery Group). This will ensure the continued safe operation of HM Ships and Submarines whilst driving continuous improvement in efficiency through economies of scale and smarter more effective support to increase availability.

The key objectives are support the list of Master Equipment (ME) that are within in scope of support solutions are:
- Breathing Air testing;
- Cylinders;
- Compressors
- Dryers and Filtration;
- Valves and reducing stations
