Description

The London Borough of Barking & Dagenham is seeking expressions of interest from licensed energy suppliers to develop a white label partnership offering bespoke, competitive energy tariffs through the Council's branding to the borough and local environs.
There is a particular emphasis on tackling fuel poverty and providing affordable warmth and:
• encouraging PPM customers to switch to cheaper tariffs or onto direct debits
• offer of bespoke localised tariffs that offer a level of certainty that they will always be reasonably priced
• the inclusion of SMETS2 smart metering for customers
• support for collaborating with the local voluntary sector in fuel debt management
In addition, the supplier will work with the borough to provide overall anonymised full customer consumption and equalities data to help the borough assess trends and target interventions.
Suppliers should also take into consideration the prospect of Barking and Dagenham developing its own fully licensed energy supply company, joint venture or partnership with other pan-London schemes.
