Description

The aim of Natural Flood Management is to slow the flow and reduce the amount of water travelling downstream during high flows with the intention of reducing flood risk for downstream communities.
One of the catchments this project is focussing on is the River Isbourne which runs from Gloucestershire into Worcestershire where it meets the River Avon at Evesham.
This specification is for a specific site at Snowshill, Gloucestershire and will consist of relatively small scale, low cost earth works to define more obvious flow routes for the water and construct small scale earth bunds to help attenuate the water during high flows.
