Description
ITEP0639 - Static Wireless EV Fleet Charging (Feasibility)
As part of National Highways vision to meet the government's commitment to phase out petrol and diesel vehicles and our own Net Zero Highways plan for 100% of our Traffic Officer fleet to be fully electric we need to explore technologies which we can use to ensure that our T.O. fleet can still perform their vital service quickly and efficiently.
To do this we need to conduct a feasibility study for using static wireless charging points to allow for the charging of National Highways fully Electric Vehicle (EV) fleet whilst parked. This will help inform National Highways whether there is an investment case to progress and an appetite for work to design a pilot project for the company.
