Description

1802/345/MY/AMRC/17 3D Printers x 3 Lots

The University of Sheffield wishes to invite tenders for 3D Printers x 3 Lots on behalf of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, Design and Prototyping Group at Catcliffe, South Yorkshire.

Scope of Requirement

The Design and Prototyping Group (DPG) operate a site wide Free Access 3D printing scheme, open to all AMRC employees. Free Access enables 3D printing design and process knowledge to spread throughout the AMRC triggering increased use cases. Backed by user data, the success of the scheme has lead to an increase in demand for equipment.

The Three Lots are required to meet increased demand, provide scope for scheme expansion, and also replace worn equipment. The machines will be used to provide 3D printed components in an expanded range of materials to all research projects across the AMRC.

This specification is aimed at purchasing equipment for use in AMRC research applications. It is expected that suppliers will provide long term support for the equipment including application engineering, programming and software upgrades.

Scope of Requirement:
LOT 1 : Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM) 3D printer with composite filament fabrication.
LOT 2 : Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM) 3D printer cell
LOT 3 : Stereolithography (SLA) Polymer 3D printer cell
