Description

West Sussex County Council is procuring Day Opportunity, Employment, Volunteering and Prevention services for people with a Learning Disability, Physical and Sensory Impairment, Acquired Brain Injury and/or Autism as well as for carers.

There are approximately 3,400 people aged 15+ years living with a moderate to severe learning disability, and it is estimated that there are 7,200 adults (18+ years) living with autism in West Sussex.

The Council is committed to improving the quality standard of the quality of services being delivered to the citizens of the county, seeing outcomes for Service Users as an important driver towards raising community stability and health. It is seeking to emphasise a high importance on quality standards across West Sussex and therefore it is seeking suppliers who can work to continually review and improve the standard of service they provide to the citizens of the county.

West Sussex County Council, has a strategic commitment to supporting people with a learning disability, physical and sensory impairment, acquired brain injury and/or autism, as demonstrated by the 'Life you want to lead' Adult Social Care strategy 2022 - 2025. The Service Provider is required, as a key partner, to support the high-level priorities within this. The five priorities are:
1. Building relationships and connections
2. Empowerment
3. Home
4. Addressing gaps
5. Inclusion and tackling inequalities

This tender is split into 3 Lots:

Lot 1 Drop-in and outreach Hub Support, and Day Opportunities for people with needs requiring less than 1:1 support in each district and borough, with transport costs included. This Lot is split into 6 Sub-Lot Areas: Adur District & Worthing Borough, Arun District, Chichester District, Crawley Borough, Horsham District, and Mid-Sussex District.

Lot 2 Day Opportunities for people with complex needs (defined by requiring at least 1:1 support) based in at least one location in the Northern area (which consists of Crawley Borough, Horsham District and Mid-Sussex District areas) and one in the Coastal area of the County (which includes the Adur District, Arun District, Chichester District and Worthing Borough areas), with transport costs included.

Lot 3 Employment and volunteering support services to be delivered from at least one location in the Northern area (including Crawley Borough, Horsham and Mid-Sussex Districts), at least one in the Southern area (including the Adur District and Worthing Borough and Littlehampton and Rustington areas of Arun District), and at least one in the Western area (including Chichester District and Aldwick, Bognor Regis and Felpham areas of Arun District).
