Description
The Parish Council seeks expressions of interest for the refurbishment or renovation of play equipment at their site at Plough Corner, Little Clacton, Essex, CO16 9ND. Preferably this will be delivered by one principal contractor who will supply and install all necessary surfaces and fittings.
The Council requires an all weather facility suitable for ball games including but not limited to football, football training, cricket, tennis, netball or basketball. It is appreciated that this will result in a compromise surface, but the Council wants the site to be useable by the greatest number of sports. Whatever design is chosen, ease of maintenance and durability will be a significant consideration.
The site will be secured against intrusion but accessible for authorised users. The facility will be illuminated in accordance with Sport England recommendations for Multi-Use Games Areas and designed to minimise light pollution.
Tenderers may reuse as much or as little of the existing infrastructure may be needed to deliver an adequately drained secure and level all-weather surface.
