Description
The aim of the project is to: • Bring together currently available research on recent trends in the numbers of children and young people being educated outside of mainstream primary and secondary setting and identify any gaps and areas for further investigation. • Highlight any research on the impact of recent trends on children and young people and their families and on vulnerable groups such as pupils with SEND. • Seek the views of councils, national organisations and partners and providers on the drivers of recent trends and produce policy recommendations for central and local government, providers and other partners. • Identify and disseminate current examples of good practice in supporting children and young people in mainstream educational settings.
