Description
BHR and Waltham Forest CCG's are seeking to commission a Positive Behaviour Support Service (PBS) (Training) across the BHR and Waltham Forest area.
Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is an approach to supporting individuals that is based on a thorough functional assessment and an understanding of their behaviour. PBS takes the form of a PBS plan, developed by a qualified professional, which sets out proactive, active and reactive strategies to reduce behaviours that challenge and improve an individual's quality of life.
The NHS Long Term Plan sets out a commitment to continue to improve local services for people with learning disability and autism, and to ensure that any community support offer includes the right tools for people to be supported in their own homes. As PBS is a key part of this offer, Barking & Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge and Waltham Forest CCG's wish to commission a PBS training service to work with professionals, patients and families within the boroughs.
The prospective provider will need to:
Confirm your organisation is flexible in delivery of the service and the methods used i.e. face to face, virtual or both.
Confirm your organisation is able to provide a range of established and comprehensive training which embed the practices of PBS.
Confirm your organisation is able to demonstrate established relationships with Community Learning Disability Teams, Local Authorities i.e. Social Care, Education, and services within the relevant health population footprint, to enable appropriate flow and pathway management.
Confirm your organisations training meets the standards of the PBS Competency Framework and Improving the quality of Positive Behavioural Support (PBS).
Confirm your organisation has a recognised training endorsement in place. Confirm staff within your organisation delivering the learning will also hold accredited qualifications in positive behaviour support or behaviour analysis (such as a professional diploma or certification in PBS, BSc PBS, MSc Applied Behaviour Analysis/PBS or equivalent).
Confirm your organisation will be able to commence the service from 1 June 2021.
Confirm if your organisation is compliant with Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) requirements.
If you would like to express an interest in this opportunity, please complete the attached form and return to nelcsu.procurementnorthants@nhs.net by no later than 12:00 Noon on Tuesday 23 February 2021.
At the Commissioner's discretion, only those providers who evidence that they meet the above requirements may be taken through to the next round of the procurement process. Due to the time constraints for this process, you will be notified of your organisation's inclusion in the next stage in a timely manner.
