As well as dealing with giving advice on applications from NE, candidate is tasked with making responses to the Forestry Commission and Forestry England for tree planting proposals and woodland grant applications, as well as applications from PINS under the Common Land Act 2008 and from Natural England under Agricultural EIA. This is required where cases relate to scheduled monuments, registered parks and gardens and the historic environment more generally.

Candidate also provides advice on the management of scheduled monument to external stakeholders as well as owners of sites in relation to emerging agreements and other relevant applications, as well as providing advice on small grants under s.17.
