Description

"Work with the Director of Labs and wider labs team to refine an overarching lab capacity strategy; ensuring consistent testing availability without substantial oversupply of capacity

Refine and implement a high level plan to decommission labs where capacity is no longer needed or commercially viable

Communicate capacity strategy and decommissioning plan to labs team for execution

Understand key commercial and contractual decisions points to ensure timely decision making for lab decommissioning

Transfer of best practice and lessons learned from ePCR implementation at Milton Keynes to Jupiter labs to ensure seamless integration of the technology into the lab. This will de-risk delivery.

Continued engagement with ePCR suppliers (LGC) to ensure a smooth commercial relationship and the timely delivery of ePCR as a product, and supporting consumables, to Jupiter labs

Analysis and recommendation of how Megalabs can offer multiple testing/ medical opportunities to T&T, DHSC and the wider NHS eg. Multiplex testing, precision medicine etc. This should be considered in balance with COVID demand and the capacity needed from the lab for this use

Analysis and recommendation of how Jupiter labs can offer a legacy for the UK diagnostic capability both in terms of reliance from future endemics, b also within precision medicine/ wider testing

Deliverables:

Operational execution plan to rationalise the portfolio

Contribution to successful deployment of ePCR in Leamington

Development of other services for the Leamington Spa lab

Handover of decommissioning execution plan to labs team

Recommendation of alternative uses for Jupiter labs testing strategy and legacy "
