Description
Manchester Health & Care Commissioning (acting as lead commissioner) and NHS Trafford Clinical Commissioning Group (the Contracting Authorities) are currently developing their service specification and commercial model in preparation for commissioning a Community Dermatology Service. The Contracting Authorities are undertaking Market Engagement in order to seek the views and opinions of the organisations that may be interested in helping to deliver the service.
This service is designed to meet the needs of the Contracting Authorities registered population, ensuring that patients can access the right level of care in the right setting. The main aims of the service will be the assessment and management of patients whose dermatology conditions are at low risk of deterioration and ultimately can move into a community based service.
The purpose of this engagement is to inform the market of the Contracting Authorities intention to procure the service and to invite potential providers to provide input into the service specification and commercial model.
Providers are invited to express their interest by completing the attached Market Engagement Questionnaire (MEQ) and completed MEQs should be submitted via the EU Supply Portal no later than 12pm on 23rd November 2018.
The Contracting Authorities will also be holding a number of Market Engagement Discussion Sessions to discuss the service specification and approach to the commercial model. The Contracting Authorities considers provider input to be extremely valuable and all those interested are invited to attend one of these sessions. They will be based on a 1:1 basis, i.e. there will only be one provider in each session with the Contracting Authorities. Each session is expected to last approximately one hour. The Sessions will be held on Thursday, 6th December 2018 in Didsbury, Manchester, where you will be asked to present to the Contracting Authorities. If you wish to attend a Session please confirm this by 16th November 2018 via the EU Supply Portal and your appointment time and further details of the format will be confirmed by 20th November 2018.
Places will be booked on a first come first served basis and in the event that there is a greater demand for the Sessions than available slots, the Contracting Authorities will endeavour to arrange additional sessions. Responses to this Market Engagement Exercise will be used to inform the procurement and service approach and as such, a response is important.
A lack of interest being expressed in response to this advert may be taken as evidence by the Contracting Authorities that a competitive process may not be required, so potentially interested providers are advised to respond.
