Description
We are looking to appoint a consultant to support our existing team of Business Information Officers who are working across the city in local high streets in district centres supporting the reopening of the local economy successfully and safely on behalf of Sheffield City Council and the Welcome Back Fund Project.
The project builds on the existing Reopening High Streets Safely Fund (RHSSF) and is part-funded by the England European Regional Development Fund as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020.
Background and Overview of the Project
The project provides additional support measures to the local business community to enable safe trading in public places for businesses and customers. There is a particular focus on our high streets or 'District Centres' as well as other public places that are at the heart of towns and cities gearing up to reopen as safe, welcoming spaces.
Delivered by Sheffield City Council between the 1st July 2021 and 31st March 2022 the funding provided by Government through the European Regional Development Fund will deliver the following outputs.
• COVID-19 Public Information Campaign
• COVID-19 Business Facing Campaign
• High Streets with Temporary CV-19 Adaptations
• Neighbourhood Shopping Areas with Temporary CV-19 Adaptations
The project will be delivered through the Business Sheffield, Marketing Sheffield and City Centre Management teams within the Council and has been split into three key strands of activity.
