Description

The SME 'Reset.Restart' programme will run from November for 6 months and will be complemented by existing national and local services. The core of the programme will be a series of webinars falling under 4 modules, including an introductory session. Each webinar will be underpinned by the Business Model Canvas and will guide attendees on how to develop a new agile business plan to meet the demands of the 'new normal.'
The webinars will be delivered centrally by the British Library on a monthly basis. Each webinar will last 2 hours, with time for a Q&A and possible break-out sessions. Some content will be recorded and available to access before or after the webinar. People will be encouraged to attend all modules, but this will not be mandatory. Having taken part in some or all of the modules and webinars, participants will then be directed to receive local support provided by Business & IP Centre Worcestershire
Worcestershire Libraries are now looking to appoint a delivery partner, or multiple delivery partners, to provide local, specific business planning, marketing, finance and wellbeing support, to SMEs signposted to us via the national webinar programme. This support will run alongside the BIPC day-to-day services.
The appointed programme delivery partner will be familiar with the Business Model Canvas, the wider SME 'Reset.Restart' webinar programme delivered by the British Library and Worcestershire libraries' day-to-day BIPC services (including market intelligence and IP resources) so that the service is integrated and streamlined.
Owing to the social distancing policy which is likely to be enforced for many months to come, the main delivery method for this programme will be online, including one-to-one advice. Face-to-face services will be gradually phased in.
The service will be aimed at existing business owners who have started their business within the past 3 years (typically the most vulnerable). It will be targeted initially at our existing user base, but will be open to everyone.
Sessions will be delivered as one-to-one clinics, or small group webinars/workshops, alongside facilitated networking sessions.
