Description
Cambridgeshire County Council (CCC) and Peterborough City Council (PCC) are jointly commissioning mediation and disagreement resolution services in relation to children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). It is a requirement under Part 3 (sections 52-59) of the Children and Families Act 2014 for local authorities to provide mediation services for parents and carers of children and young people with additional needs and/or disabilities. Families must have the offer of mediation before appealing to tribunal. This contract is for an initial period of two years, with an option to extend for a further period of up to 24 months. The annual budget is £71,000.
