Description
Somali Community Health Support- This service provides support and access for the Somali and ethnic minority residents in Harrow. The o
bjectives of this service include:
Ensuring access to appropriate mainstream services.
Establishing a network with NHS and hospital agencies for early discharge and post-hospital support.
Providing early identification and screening of health problems.
Offering outreach services for disabled, chronically sick, elderly, and linguistically challenged community members.
Conducting confidence-building workshops on nutrition, exercise, and home safety.
Facilitating access to appropriate treatment services.
Organizing workshops for Somali mothers on adolescent changes, drug use, and parenting skills.
