Description

The City invites Bidders to submit a Selection Questionnaire for the provision of waste collection, street
cleansing and ancillary services.
The successful contractor will be tasked to deliver the following requirements:
- street Cleansing,
- domestic General Waste Collection (Including Bulky, Schools and Charities),
- domestic Recycling Collection (Including food waste and potentially limited green waste),
- winter Maintenance,
- cleansing and Waste Collection at Special Events,
- maintenance and cleaning of refuse bins and litter bins,
- collection of Waste from the "Garchy" Waste system,
- cleaning of non-electrical street furniture,
- gully Cleansing,
- clinical waste collection,
- supply and Maintenance of vehicles, equipment and bags used in the service,
- maintenance of some City of London vehicles and plant, with possible future extension to other parts of the fleet,
- supply and strategic stock of Derv,
- quality Control and comprehensive data management,
- collection and Management of the Commercial Waste business within the City, including possible later additions from the City's own requirements for waste removal.

The duration of the contract is 8 years, subject to the right of the Authority (at its sole discretion) to exercise its right to extend the Contract by up to 8 further years. The maximum length of the contract is therefore 16 years.
This tendering exercise is being undertaken using the electronic tendering system 'CapitaleSourcing' (url:www.capitalesourcing.com). Suppliers will need to register an interest on the system in order to participate and registration is free.
The estimated contract value given is for the full duration of the contract including the maximum possible extensions.
