Description
TfGM is looking to establish a contract for the supply and delivery of a Battery Shunter to Metrolink's Queens Road depot. The Battery Shunter will be used by the Metrolink operator (Keolis -Amey Metrolink KAM) for routine/heavy maintenance movement and stabling of the M5000 trams.TfGM is looking to replace the SPV with a new battery powered shunter that undertakes all the SPV's current functions within the Queens Road depot. This will include moving trams in and out of non-electrified tracks, positioning trams accurately on the wheel lathe for tyre turning, and moving unpowered trams around the depot yard and stabling points.
