Description

Soft Market Testing and Virtual Market Engagement Event for the provision of Alternative Education Provision for children who are unable to attend school due to medical / health needs.

A new contract to start from September 2022 (Department for Education to be advised of preferred provider by 30th November 2021).

Cornwall Council has a statutory responsibility for arranging suitable education for permanently excluded pupils, and for other pupils who - because of illness or other reasons - would not receive suitable education.

This service is commissioned by Cornwall Council to provide education for pupils unable to attend school due to health (including social, emotional and mental health) or medical needs. The Council wishes to commission a Provider to:

ensure high quality alternative education is provided for children and young
people with health (including social, emotional and mental health) or medical needs.
ensure pupils accessing the service are educated in an inclusive, holistic manner that ensures academic progress and social, emotional and personal development in order to enable pupils to reach their true potential and become fully functioning citizens within their local communities.
make a profound and meaningful contribution in maximising the engagement
of pupils through successful partnership working that includes
innovative approaches to learning and provision.
ensure that parents, carers and Corporate Parents of pupils will be fully involved and informed regarding their child's progress, achievements and educational experience.

Cornwall Council is therefore conducting a soft market assessment to gain an understanding of the potential level of interest across the Education Sector for the provision of this service. The soft market assessment will take the form of written responses (Soft Market Test Word document) and an upcoming virtual market engagement event scheduled for 27th July 2021 (10am - 11:30am).

If you are interested in this area of service provision and also helping with our assessment of the market, please complete the "Information Required" section within the attached Soft Market Test word document, and return this via the Due North messaging system.

If you also wish to attend the Market Engagement Event please provide the names of up to two people from your organisation, together with their email addresses for the MS Teams invite, and telephone numbers.

Thank you.
