Description
Leicestershire County Council ("the Council") invites Quotations for the provision of an Out of
Hours Appropriate Adult Service for Young People The Council is carrying out this quotation process on behalf of
itself and Leicester City Council. Both authorities will be party to the resulting Contract and jointly responsible for
contract management. The proposed Contract will be for 2 years with an option to extend for 1 year and it is
anticipated to award to a single Tenderer. The service specification is for an out of hours service to provide
Appropriate Adults (AA) for young people in custody in the Leicestershire Police custody suites. This will include
all the roles and responsibilities of the AA as specified in the Police and Criminal Evidence Act (1984) and all
associated codes of practice and amendments.
