Description

The work continues to build on the Teach Too development programme which started in 2014-15. The aim of Teach Too is to encourage people from industry to spend some of their time sharing their knowledge and experience with learners by teaching them about their work in a provider or workplace setting and/or contributing to curriculum development. Teach Too also promotes the practice of teachers and trainers updating their industry experience by spending time in the workplace, and helps to build the 'two-way street' - genuinely collaborative arrangements between employers and providers.
There are two strands of work in the Teach Too programme in 2017-18:
- Strand 1 - share the effective practice identified in previous phases of Teach Too to help participants to improve their own practice.
- Strand 2 - work with a number of local areas to pilot approaches to embedding Teach Too principles and embedding effective activities.
