Description

The Authority wishes to award a contract to support the Provision of Domiciliary Care and Support at Esk Moors Lodge Extra Care Scheme, ("the Contract").

Esk Moors Lodge is located in the rural village of Castleton: Bradbury Centre, Langburn Bank, Castleton, Whitby, North Yorkshire, YO21 2ED.
The scheme provides 12 self-contained, one and two bedroom apartments for rent.
The overall aim of the service is to provide appropriate levels of care and support to the tenants living at the scheme to help them retain and manage their health, independence and well-being.
The service must ensure that on-site care and support is available to tenants living at the scheme 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including bank holidays and weekends. The service is required to provide the following two key elements:

• A core round the clock service that can respond to emergencies or provide for unplanned care needs that may occur within the scheme.

• Availability of a flexible and high quality service that has the capacity and ability to deliver planned care and support to meet the assessed care needs of tenants within the scheme, as required.

Further information is contained within The Specification.

The Contract will be for an initial period of three years with an option to extend the contract for up to one year. Therefore the total possible Contract duration is four years. It should be noted that the choice as to whether or not to extend the contract is at the discretion of the Authority and there will be no opportunity for the provider to re-price or change the contract.
