Description
ESPO 3S_18 Strategic HR Services - Lot 1 - Executive and Managerial Recruitment
The Water Industry National Environment Programme (WINEP) is a key mechanism to deliver benefits to the natural environment. With increasing pressures from pollution, population growth and climate change, the WINEP needs to evolve to deal with these growing challenges and provide a cleaner environment for society.
Ofwat, the Environment Agency (EA) and the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) have together formed a dedicated 'WINEP Taskforce' (T F) to deliver these changes, ahead of the next periodic review of water company investments (PR24). The aim of the TF is to re-design the WINEP to be more outcome focused and deliver greater benefits to the environment for every pound invested by water companies.
There is a need for a PMO Manager to support this TF and the associated work
Working with the TF leads (from Ofwat, the EA and Defra) to support the work of the TF, including organising and/or supporting weekly TF lead meetings, monthly TF AG meetings and multiple weekly meetings of the TF's working groups. Further, in supporting the WINEP TF and its working groups, the tasks will include (but will not be limited to):
• Taking ownership of project managing the whole WINEP TF and leading on all associated planning/delivery aspects.
• Establishing and running effective governance and controls within and across the TF's working groups.
• Making sure the TF information is stored in an organised way, and shared in a timely manner as needed.
• Reporting to and working with the TF leads, AG and Decision Making Body (in writing and verbally) as needed.
• Communicating with Ofwat, EA and Defra teams to capture and share information they hold.
• Reviewing information produced by the working groups as needed.
• Organizing and writing the TF's evaluation report.
• Planning and scheduling TF resources efficiently.
• Other critical tasks such as managing the TF's risk log, actions logs and so on.
• Undertaking any other duties as reasonably delegated by the TF leads.
