Description
Together for Adoption is a Regional Adoption Agency (RAA) made up of five local authorities:
•St Helens
•Warrington
•Wigan
•Cheshire West and Chester
•Halton
Five Local Authorities have joined together, under an inter-agency agreement, to make it easier for adopters and children to find their forever families.
Working regionally helps Together for Adoption recruit new families more effectively. It allows Together for Adoption to share best practice and make our services better.
This allows children who are unable to live within their birth families and require an alternative family permanently to reach their full potential in adulthood and provides security and stability.
Through this commission it is the intention to secure an Adoption Support Service for Birth Parents and people affected by adoption.
Support will be put in place for people who are affected by adoption to come to terms with the loss of child / children and ensure that their health and wellbeing is maintained.
The commission will be an outcome-focussed service, that is trauma informed, and should provide a non-judgemental service to allow people to thrive in later life.
