Description
The University of the West of England is seeking a suitably experienced contractor to provide a new café and takeaway service for an on-site office block (Northavon House).
The University requires a high quality café and takeaway service offering hot and cold light meals, confectionery, snacks and hot/cold beverages, focused around giving excellent customer care and customer experience, that is value for money.
The Refreshments shall be provided by the Contractor and available for purchase by staff and visitors to the Premises, as well as Students who are using the nearby bus station.
The Service shall be provided, as a minimum, between the hours of 0800 and 1600 hours, Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays and specific seasonal periods of closure - Easter and Christmas).
The Refreshments provided by the Contractor shall as a minimum include seasonal products, themes and specials to ensure the menu is varied and wide-ranging.
There are over 400 staff located at the Premises who will have access to the Service and the potential to attract additional staff from neighboring buildings and Students who are using the bus station.
The University does not give and shall not be deemed to have given, any guarantee, warranty or other assurance as to the potential revenue generated by entering into the Contract. Any estimate of demand given to the Contractor will be for guidance purposes only and shall not form part of the Contract.
The successful Contractor is required to have a food hygiene rating of at least 4 with the Food Standards Agency within 6 months.
The tender will be for both the fit out of the kitchen equipment and one based on the university undertaking the fit out of equipment.
