Description

The synthetic turf pitches at Active Medlock are 19 years old and have reached the end of their useful life. The pitches need to be resurfaced late Summer/early Autumn 2019 if they are to continue to operate beyond this winter. Medlock's sister facility at Active Copley was successfully resurfaced 2 years ago by the Council's Design and Delivery team (Engineers). The Council's Capital Project Team is passing the scheme to Engineers to procure and manage. The funding for the scheme has been allocated provisionally. The funding won't be fully confirmed in the Capital Programme until a full business case for the development has been prepared and approved by the Council. The scheme needs to be tendered in order to accurately establish the costs of the scheme to inform the draft business case.
