Description
Derbyshire County Council is seeking to appoint a specialist bridge contractor for Shire Lane Bridge over the A617, Heath, in Chesterfield.
Bridge repairs using heat-straightening technics are to be carried out by a Specialist Contractor who has the skills and past experience conducting similar types of work. The Specialist Contractor may be contracted or employed by a Main Contractor who possesses extensive bridge repair experience. The term Main Contractor is used here to differentiate between the Contractor with whom the Council enters into a contract and take overall responsibility of overseeing and managing all the work.
