Description

In 2019, the University of Manchester established a Strategic Change Office (SCO) to bring together its strategic change initiatives and to strengthen its approach to change delivery. Since then, the SCO has achieved considerable success in standardising and professionalising programme delivery across the University.

The SCO leadership team is now taking steps to further mature the University's approach to change, building on the foundations established since 2019. The UoM is seeking a collaborative partner to guide it through an exercise to address those challenges and shape the future of the strategic change portfolio for the next five years. Over time the change portfolio has developed and today contains initiatives that are sensible and good things to do, but there is an acknowledgement that to keep the UoM world-class, the future portfolio should be reviewed to identify gaps to our strategic ambitions.

It has been identified that it would be beneficial to carry out this soft market testing to ascertain supplier interest and also to provide the University with a better understanding of potential solutions. The University may also undertake further discussions with suppliers who have expressed an interest to develop its understanding of the supply market.
