Description
The London Borough of Enfield is seeking to appoint a single Provider to deliver an Appropriate Adults Service for Vulnerable Adults and Juveniles within the London Boroughs of Enfield and Haringey.
This is a joint commission for the London Boroughs of Enfield and Haringey. The Provider will be required to demonstrate its capacity to adequately fulfil the provision in an effective and responsive manner and deliver the Service in accordance with the specification.
The Service must:
• provide high quality support and assistance to young people aged between 10-17 and Vulnerable Adults with a clinically diagnosis of a Learning disability and/or mental health condition.
• meet statutory obligations resultant of Section 38 of the Crime and Disorder Act (1998),
• safeguard the interests and wellbeing of Vulnerable Adults and Children remanded to custody and subjected to Police interrogation in the absence of a Parent or Guardian deemed suitable to undertake such activities.
• ensure the provision of suitable and appropriate adults in support of the Youth Offending Service (YOS) who will be required to attend custody suites to provide support, advice and assistance to vulnerable individuals in accordance with the Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE) 1984, Code of Practice C.
The Service shall be undertaken as a Block Contract as part of a Joint Re-Commission of the Service. The current contract expires on 31st June 2017.
A new contract will commence on 1st July 2017 and will run for three (3) years with no option to extend the Contract beyond this period. Tender Submissions are invited from suitably qualified organisations with experience of providing Appropriate Adults Services of this size and scope.
